One App for iOS, Android and Web thanks to efficient Cross-Platform Development
Challenge and Goal
In our innovation project 'Phresh – Beautiful Shopping Lists', the focus was on developing a cross-platform solution that revolutionizes shared shopping. The starting point was the idea of creating a user-friendly and clear app that runs on all common devices. The goal was to create shopping lists, share them, and thus make shopping practical and efficient for friends and family. With over 800 items in five languages, push notifications, and the ability to use shared wallets for loyalty cards, our app sets new standards in design, user experience, and performance.
Solution
For the development of Phresh, we used Flutter from Google, the leading framework alongside React Native in cross-platform mobile development. Flutter offers decisive advantages through hot-reloading, a declarative UI approach, and an extensive selection of widgets. The integration of native APIs, such as camera, barcode scanner, local databases, and Firebase push notifications, enables a comfortable developer experience. Thanks to Flutter, the app could be implemented quickly and cost-effectively not only for iOS and Android, but also as a web application. Phresh is available for free in the App Store and Play Store.
